The Panda Uaru is a rare species of large and peaceful cichlids that can easily be housed. Wild caught fish can be quite difficult to care for and require you to keep them in soft acidic black waters with a pH level of 3 to 4. However, these F1 Captive Bred Panda Uaru are much more suitable for aquarium life and easier to care for. In low pH conditions, Panda Uarus breed quickly and easily. However, baby Panda Uaru have been observed to be more comfortable in alkaline conditions.
Panda Uarus can easily be kept in groups or with other fishes. Panda Uarus can soon grow up to the size of 9.5 inches. As a result, recommended tank size for them is 130 gallons.
The Panda Uaru originates from the border between Venezuela and Colombia. They are herbivorous, so that you can feed them vegetable-based fresh or frozen foods.
It is better to keep Panda Uaru in a plant-free tank since they are not safe with plants. Baby Panda Uaru have skin with spots on it. At the same time, their skin texture looks more beautiful as they grow up.
