These stunning Endlicheri Bichirs originate from the regions of Africa. They are widely spread in the area and have been observed in Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Chad, Ivory Coast, Mali, Sudan, Cameroon, Benin, and the Central African Republic. They have been recorded in rivers and mangrove areas.
The maximum adult size the Endlicheri Bichirs can grow up to is 30-36 inches. They require more than a 200-gallon tank when fully grown. Moreover, they are aggressive and predatory fish. They will eat any fish that is small enough to fit into their mouth. Larger tank mates can peacefully live with them without much trouble.
Endlicheri Bichirs being predatory and carnivore fish, are likely to eat small vertebrates, small fish, insects, and crustaceans. They can be given live food, frozen food, and pellets.
